Anyone else having trouble posting? Posts disappearing

Original post made by Trouble posting, Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on Oct 18, 2015

This happened just before the hack, and other people complained, too.

I have also seen posts disappear. Then, my posts asking about the disappeared posts also disappear.

Yesterday evening all the posts disappeared temporarily, and when they reappeared, some were missing.

Could this possibly be an inside job? It does seem unlikely, though.

@Trouble and @Me, too - Hi there, I will forward your messages to our IT Department. Yesterday afternoon our website was down for maintenance while we switched to a new web hosting service, so there was a period during which some posts may have disappeared. We apologize if it was necessary to re-post any comments.

As My mentioned above, we changed Web servers last night. Chances are the issues you saw were related to this changeover. The sites were taken offline last night for a period of time while we moved data. We took a snapshot of the sites after we had taken things offline, which may or may not have caught everything that was posted. We waited a decent amount of time, just in case.

Sorry if you had posted things that never showed up, but things should be working properly this morning.

We are investigating an issue where there is an apostrophe in the post. When there is a post, it may break. We are aware of the issue and are actively working on it.

Thanx, but the posts pertaining to the alleged racist insulting of two foreign Stanford students disappeared five days ago.

So did the postings asking for follow-ups, as well as two asking what happened to the original post.

All of these were before Saturday, I believe.

We intentionally shut down the topic relating to the two foreign students as it pertained to a specific complaint against a local business that we were unable to verify. Our policy is to delete comments relating to a dispute such as this due to the risk of inaccurate and damaging information being circulated.

Thank you, that makes sense.

There still seems to be posting issues - not apostrophe related, just stuff not showing up.

I take it back, it is definitely the apostrophe that was my issue. I`m going with the backwards version!

Confirming the apostrophe issue. My post was not posting - took out the one apostrophe and it posted fine.

Definitely appears to be some bugs still. The main list show posts posted minutes ago and when I click to read the latest posts, they were hours ago.

Maybe things went wonky when you farmed out the Film Listings to an outside vendor (who requires that readers must sign up with their site).
