I don't believe she had no intention of writing a book. Why else would a journalist/author correspond with someone like Moore for 30 years.

Didn't President Ford escape two assassination attempts, the other from a Manson follower?

Hi Rhonda MacKenzie: Lynette Squeaky Fromme did wave a gun around when Pres. Ford was in Sacramento. However, she did not point the gun at him and there was no bullet in the chamber. She wanted to get arrested as she was looking to get publicity for Charlie Manson. Yes, she was a Manson woman.

Hi Jennifer: Thanks for the note. Truly, I didn't plan to write a book about Sara Jane. I kept in touch because she was fascinating. I was a journalist. Books were too difficult to write and took too long. She nagged and nagged until finally, I had left my analyst job at Gartner and had time. However, it turned out she wanted me to just be her scribe and write what she wanted. It didn't take long to figure out that what she had been telling me all that time was not true. That got my attention and she stopped talking to me when I challenged her. So, the red flags got my attention.
