Local parks and hills put on a wildflower show after rainy winter

Dazzling displays of wildflowers are blanketing vast areas of California, often in places where aficionados say they haven't seen them before. Is it a superbloom? Well, not exactly. But it will be a very good year for flowers.

Thank you! Bit off more than I could chew at Edgewood but it was worth it. Blankets of flowers covering whole meadows. (Bring an actual camera, phones not up to the task if you want photos.). Lots of poison oak though…

The 39th annual Moonlight Run and Walk is Friday evening, September 29. Join us under the light of the full Harvest Moon on a 5K walk, 5K run, 10K run or half marathon. Complete your race in person or virtually.
