Unusually cold storm system adds to Bay Area winter weather marathon

The Sierra Nevada snowpack is forecast to grow by several feet by Friday and high winds in the Bay Area are expected to get even stronger on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

It's raining and chilly. I lived a good chunk of my life in Upstate NY where winter days were often well below zero temps with high humidity (which makes the cold feel much colder) with snow and slush and sleet and ice. (I could go on.)

"Winter Weather Marathon" ? This weather is fine by me. I'm working at my computer wearing cozy wool slippers and a fleece jacket. I feel just fine. Bundle up!
