To combat the increased utility rates, I have adopted a space heater plan that is affordable, though ugly. I use an electric space heater in one outlet, and an oscillating fan in another. It actually circulates the heat better than gas and my electricity usage went down by 10% and the gas want down by 99%. Take THAT, utility hikers. Bring on the cold. I hope you can keep the squirrels from chewing on the lines.

I did consider the fan effect using gas, but the pilot light looked like it was doing the Watusi. Don't blow a fan toward a gas pilot. Luckily I learned that without having to burn the house down.
