Man survives harrowing experience trying to rescue his dog from Stevens Creek

A Mountain View man who jumped into Stevens Creek in an attempt to save his dog last week said he feels lucky to be alive. He urges the community to learn from his experience and steer clear of local waterways impacted by the storm.

A happy ending is always nice, and he understands how it could've ended differently. It's human nature for a strong swimmer/animal lover to jump in and try to save his dog. Watching your dog slip away would be gut wrenching. Griffin is very fortunate to have such a caring owner.
