East Palo Alto police officer injured in shooting on Thursday night

An East Palo Alto police officer was injured in a shooting during a struggle with a suspect who fled from authorities during a traffic stop. The injury was not considered life-threatening.

Such a dangerous job. Imagine each day going to work, not knowing what you might encounter. I hope this officer will make a full recovery. Thank you to all officers serving our community.
