Palo Alto police investigating strong-arm robbery of 16-year-old cyclist

Police in Palo Alto are investigating a strong-armed robbery after a juvenile was robbed of her cellphone and debit card on Friday afternoon.

Stealing someone's smartphone & debit card makes absolutely no sense.

Without access to the PIN codes, they are absolutely useless.

What was the robber thinking?

@Robin. My debit card is also a credit card and some establishments run it that way.

So glad that the victim was not injured, although the trauma of this violent attack will probably haunt her for quite awhile. I hope this predator is caught and punished.
