It’s become a familiar pattern - a shooting then politicians with no history of doing anything about anything (well, maybe, naming a post office) and a compliant press recognize a photo op when it presents itself and trot out the canned PR outrage (Our hearts go out to the victim(s)) and call for gun control. Seriously, they’re hiding under their desks when the real business of catching crooks and actually holding them accountable screams for attention. You can’t routinely ignore, dismiss, and let go unpunished all of the crime out there and be surprised that things are getting worse and worse. Arrest the crooks. The left has ‘re-imagined’ public safety as ‘don’t punish anyone’ and the public is imagining itself being mugged, beaten, robbed, and shot at on our once mostly safe streets. Re-imagined isn’t working out so well. Let’s try actually enforcing the laws we already have before taking away constitutional rights.

My thoughts, exactly and you beat me to the post office naming line. Anna Eshoo has a 40 year record of not doing much of anything and hasn't authored any significant legislation during her time in office. Time for a replacement and I hope it happens with the election tomorrow.

Most of the country thankfully disagrees with the NRA talking points regularly spewed after little kids are massacred. For too long we've been bullied and terrorized by the gun seller money flowing into the NRA and from there, used to bribe politicians who have no conscience. Shame the politicians taking NRA money - Stop the NRA bribes and sensible and constitutional gun laws will pass as the majority wants.
