Sorry to hear this news, though it never really was the real Old Pro after it left the classic Quonset hut location on ECR. Well, if you really want a dive bar, this leaves us Fred's Place which happens to be just into Mountain View. Perhaps Palo Alto can claim it.

The Oasis, Antonios Nut House, and now the Old Pro. Is nothing sacred?

Palo Alto absolutely was an iconic city, what its becoming is not welcoming. ADU’s cluttering cemented backyards. All these people cramming to live & work here & few patrons? What am I missing?

I miss the quonset hut. Palo Alto needs dive bars, not more contrived hipster bistros.
