Just a property crime with no injuries? They’ll be released with minimal/no bail plead out to misdemeanors and not do a moment in jail. Exactly as the voters wanted. Slow clap.

I'm sure they are already out of jail prowling the streets again.

Sounds like a lot of good police work to arrest this teenager and find the other three. Perhaps they will get light sentences, but at least they will suffer the consequences of their actions and hopefully learn to not steal again, but unfortunately the recidivism rate is poor and jail does not rehabilitate.

Residents can help prevent this by making sure their cars are locked and nothing is visible on the seats. I've had an auto break in, where nothing was stolen but I left my athletic bag out and they broke a window. They didn't remove my bag, but I ended up with a broken window and waking up neighbors at 3:30am when the alarm went off.

Interesting how many other disgusted people beat me asking if the suspect's already out on bail.

The fact that one of them was able to fire at least one round at a homeowner makes this much more than a couple of rogue kids gone bad. Much more.
