Pets in Need board member assumes interim executive director role

Pets in Need, the troubled nonprofit animal shelter weathering upheaval after the deaths of seven puppies in its care, has a new interim executive director in animal welfare expert Valerie McCarthy.

I'm very glad to see this development. Pets in Need is fortunate to have such a qualified board member who is also willing to step into the interim role at such a critical time.
