Peculiar that President Joe Biden, former president Barrack Obama, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, vice president Kamala Harris, and Senator Dianne Feinstein are not actively campaigning on behalf of Democratic governor Newsom.

Donald Trump actively campaigns for and endorses various Republican candidates throughout the country...he is a credit to his party in terms of his ongoing support.

Gavin Newsom will survive the recall but he will never rise higher than CA governor.

Most black and Hispanic voters are voting for Newsom and they now outnumber the whites in CA.

Add the Asian vote and Republicans are essentially extinct as a part in CA....except for maybe Bakersfield (Kevin McCarthy country).

The Republican candidates are best reserved for conservative and racist white voters who are oblivious to the essence of equality.

Harris backed out of a Vote No rally at the Cow Palace. She's been good friends with Newsom for years. With the exception of Pelosi, Democrats are afraid to back Newsom. Unless they're in denial, they know he's failing Californians with his poor leadership.

Racism is oftentimes subtle and the more educated and affluent white voters are very adept at concealing their true feelings regardless of party affiliation.

After much deliberation, I voted to recall Newsom. He did little to prevent the fires ravaging our state and was surpised to find an extra $70 billion in tax revenues which he could then give away. Most importantly, Newsom failed to monitor the largesse of Covid relief funds with billions being lost through mismanagement and outright corruption at the Economic Development Office and Bank of America.
I hope that Democratic newcomer Kevin Paffrath can pull off a surprise victory, but if not, Larry Elder of the GOP will at least give our state some much needed balance with the Dems in Sacramento, if only for 18 months.

FDR's WPA project required those receiving government money in times of crisis to do some work -- even artists and musicians.
We should require the same; it could provide hope and motivation.

Equally racist to assume all black, Latino and Asian voters think the same way. We are not that simple minded.

After doing a lot of homework, I voted NO on the recall. He won fair and square. Though I am not a huge Newsom fan, I don't see sufficient grounds to justify recall at this point. More important, every single one of the alternative candidates would be MUCH worse.
