thank you good info,

Kudos to PAPD for all their hard work.

Alarming with some of the increases especially home break-ins and stolen cars.

But I have a simple solution, Defund the Police!!

yeah right........, support our police, reform them when necessary, get rid of bad cops.

But "Defund" .... brain dead , typical Democratic message, Californians wake-up !!

"Defund" was a poorly chosen word too easily twisted by opponents. We don't need armed police officers for all of the things armed police officers are called upon to do. Give a cop a gun and everything looks like a situation where a gun might be needed. Reform IS necessary, YP, that is what Defund means.

Per Wikipedia: "Defund the police" is a slogan that supports divesting funds from police departments and reallocating them to non-policing forms of public safety and community support, such as social services, youth services, housing, education, healthcare and other community resources.

Defund the Police is an extreme stand and, YP, not a majority stand in the Democratic Party so please get your straight facts not alternate facts. Those of this extreme opinion have a point that we do need more money in alternatives as Star Spring said who is sounds reasonable in suggesting investing in "social services, youth services, housing, education" and mental health access etc which have been de-funded as we take on the corporate aristocracy and get their selfish me first ideology out of our social structure of government and education and elections.

Bike Theft Prevention is a registered user. is a free national database that helps reunite bikes with their owners and is being used by the Palo Alto and SF police departments. If you have bike take a few minutes and register it with serial number and photos. If it ever goes missing this might help you get it back. I wish I had done this before my bike was stolen. Anyone seen a large red trek road bike? That is all I had to describe it so I didn't even bother reporting it. My guess is bike theft is easily double these numbers based on all the posts on Nextdoor.
