I am told that the car was a Lamborghini.

I think they will track down the owner.

from the PA Weekly reportage...

>"...the driver was traveling at high speeds up Alexis Drive just north of Page Mill Road, missed the first turn and flipped over, resting against a tree. The car then burst into flames."

^ Just goes to show that some people should not be driving high-powered luxury sports cars they are incapable of operating safely...let alone in a residential area.

>"I am told that the car was a Lamborghini. I think they will track down the owner.

^ So will the auto insurance company...eventually.

Hope the homeowners whose fence and trees were damaged can bill the driver who slunk off.

He called someone to pick him up or he walked home. He's lucky he was able to walk away.

WOW - note that Page Mill Drive is the route to FHP. It is a very steep road with deep drop-offs and single lanes. Also many turns which are in part blind-sided. Many bicycle people have had big accidents on that road. So just add traffic for FHP now with all types of people trying to navigate that road. Some who can barely drive. Make sure that you have a fire department wing in that area to pick up all of the casualties. And houses next to the steep drop-offs - have insurance when the cars come through your roof.

Suspect that the person was in deer country. Mr. Roadshow - SJM has had a number of articles on what to do when encountering deer and other animals on the highway. Suspect that this person is an example of what not to do when in deer country. Results predictable if the wrong moves made.

And yes - they can trace the car to the owner. Was the owner driving? Maybe the local car thieves were out for a heist and why they were rushing. HUMMM - need follow-up on this mystery.
