Rep. Eshoo, mental health advocates push for suicide prevention legislation

The House Energy and Commerce Committee recently passed three bills related to suicide prevention, which Rep. Anna Eshoo said is even more urgently needed due to COVID-19.

I wonder that the Energy and Commerce Committee passed these bills on suicide prevention, as I thought that this isn`t about its function. But, anyway it is a good move forward, what do you think about gun control, could it help with suicide prevention? I asked as this article reminds me of posts from Web Link which I have read yesterday. Those were essay examples on this issue, so it was the first I have thought when I saw the title of the article.
