Air district asks employers to 'cut the commute' by expanding remote work options

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District along with Santa Clara County asked employers to sign a pledge that extends teleworking for workers after shelter-in-place orders are eased.

We enjoyed walking outside in the cleaner air during the spring, but it has gotten noticeably worse this month.

We have noticed a remarkable positive change in the air quality here in Palo Alto. Please keep this policy for working remotely in place. The population of Palo Alto is roughly 63,000 on the weekends and during the week about 125,000 before the pandemic struck. Vive la différence!
