Original post made on Jul 11, 2020

If this state is the nation's laboratory for progressive laws, why has it been unable to keep the police from policing themselves?

Start with your AG - Mr. Becerra. He has blocked any attempts to get information on the police that are in trouble. Police with a record of issues get moved around from one city to another. If the protection systems is at the top then we have hard times getting the information that we need to smooth out our police forces so that the problem cops are gone. Mayors, et all need to get on top of what is happening at the top level and push the governor so that his staff is accountable. Start pushing on the governor hard on this issue.

I am noting that there is a Police Blotter feature in the local papers and every town around us is represented - EXCEPT PALO ALTO. We need a explanation as to what is going on now in this city regarding the Police Force and what types of protection we can be assured of. It is unnerving to note that the Real Estate people appear to be in full function now but where is the Police Force? If the Real Estate people can do anything right now maybe they can exert some influence on City Hall to make our city a worthy place to settle down. In RE World - it is location, location, location.

So let's make sure that our location is pulled together and functioning in an organized, civic manner. That includes "commissioners" that are going to the press to voice their aspirational grievances. A bunch of people who are staging some type of overthrow for the elective body.

We are not in competition with Martinez for national press notoriety. However it appears that some people think this is their moment in the sun.

Every one take a deep breathe - we need to close on this issue now. Your east coast buddies are running into problems in their cities that are out of control. There is no reason we need to participate in this madness. We need to eliminate the police that have caused problems and get on with our loves. And quit letting those people who cause problems out of jail.
