At updated Reuse Zone, residents can leave -- or pick up -- leftover paint, household cleaners

Original post made on Nov 5, 2019

It might be an overstatement to say that the city of Palo Alto's Reuse Zone proves that one person's trash is another's treasure, but it does offer an opportunity for residents to make use of items that others have dropped off.

Is this in any way connected with the revamped clean up days which are now designated for each neighborhood by Greenwaste?

The way in which we have to label and sort items for this were supposedly so that others could reuse them.

Where can I take mason jars (good condition)? Goodwill doesn't take them anymore.

RRR, I am surprised at this. I have seen plenty of mason jars at the Goodwill. You can post them on NextDoor, Freecycle, or even Facebook classifieds for free.

Palo Alto,if you are listening - why not start a polystyrene and poly peanuts exchange box. Every time I get a shipment I have to dump this stuff in the garbage since it is not recyclable. While at the same time other folks are going down to Staples to buy it to ship out their package. You used to have this. Please do it again. Please. This is really a no brainer.

Can non-residents of Palo Alto drop off reusables at the Reuse Zone?
