Thank you,Sheryl. This story brought back memories! I met Lurline (Lollie) when we were in Kindergarten at Woodside El.School. Visiting Filoli was amazing: a 'show farm' , a front/back stair arrangement, just being in the huge home
with staff like cooks and butlers and even a tv (rare in 1951!)

Is that where 'Dynasty' was filmed?

I've been there during the early 1980s but never saw Linda Evans or Joan Collins on the premises.
