DMV offices closed for Real ID training Wednesday morning

The California Department of Motor Vehicles announced a statewide employee training to take place Wednesday morning that will push back the beginning of operating hours at all DMV offices to 1 p.m.

Yes. Please. Let's get DMV folks better-trained. They need to know what they are doing so they can process RealIDs and answer questions about them properly!

What DMV really needs is a completely new IT system.

Now we're throwing a national ID card on top of 1970's technology - yikes!

So much of what the DMV does (apart from Real ID) should be done online. Their incompetency is well behind what it should be. Real ID and Passports are things that everyone needs to be able to get done quickly and efficiently.Sadly, neither is the case.
