This is wonderful news, well deserved for our teachers. Understanding how local public school districts are funded, (typically Federal around 10%, State and Local at around 90%), and as a long term citizen (who btw doesn't advocate for low income housing left and right, bemoans massive development projects that will generate more city tax revenue or complains of unrepresented "inequality" in our city's leadership) I wound't mind supporting an initiative to "pay a little more" in taxes (or in form of supplemental tax) to help support future and consistent annual salary bumps for our teachers. Great work Ravenswood School Board, Chapeau!

What? The former Sequoia Superintendent is helping the CBO? Really? is he that bad to do his job,? I heard that Gloria to had to pay someone (a consultant) else tto come and help him out after the budget issue. This consultantI charged $60 per hour and she came everyday at least for 6 hours because this CBO was not capable to do his job duties and lacked mathematic skills.. To the CBO: thanks for leaving your seat for someone else who might be able to do a better job then you, hopefully they hire an experience and qulified person this time. The district already wasted so much money on trying to keep him when everyone knew did not know what he was doing. Hopefully your next job has nothing to do with Math, so you can be successful.
