A wonderful article and well deserved spotlight on remarkable and remarkably successful women entrepreneurs and culinary leaders. Tamarine, Bird Dog, and Zareen’s are forever favorites. The future is indeed female. Thank you!

With articles like this, it is going to be hard to be a successful man in the future.
I feel for little boys growing up. They are being told that they are second class to the girls in their classes. How sad.

Really, resident? Another white dude like myself worried about his privilege card magically being revoked. Ha. You haven't a clue. Spend a day in someone else's shoes.
Little boys will still make 100 percent. When will the girls rise above 70?
Of all the challenges that young boys *really* face, a fluff pr piece isn't the problem.
,........
re Jesse - not just a queen of culinary, but of freedom, equality, community and more. One of the most beautiful humans I've had the pleasure of meeting.

Man Oh Man, if you don't see it, then ask yourself why so many young men are paying attention to Jordan Peterson.

Saw a bumper sticker this morning reading: "Boys Dream Dreams. Men Make Plans." That about sums it up for all grown-ups, both for men & women.
Problem is too many of our population are mentally still children, but in physically old bodies.
An adult, either a man OR a woman, is valuable, each compliment each other, making up for each other's 'gaps', a la the Sly Stallone Rocky film. I like that the one woman mentioned is a TEAM with her husband, making the business work. Kudos to them and to the women in this article.

resident's link: young men search for answers
When have young men NOT searched for answers? The 90's? the 80's? the 70's? Shall we discuss the 60's?
I just did a quick poll of half a dozen young men. Five shrugged, never heard of him. The slightly older one had, and rolled his eyes, for what ever that means.
Don't know if the other poster cannot "see it", but I can. It is hard for young white boys these days. And girls. And POC/children. If you feel good pushing the meme of "po' lil boys" then go for it. Just don't expect to do it without appropriate derision, especially on a thread about young women BARELY eeking out a toehold in a profession still virtually dominated by males.

Maybe, the future is female, but men are the better cooks. Bring it on, let's start the gender wars all over again. Thank heaven, for little boys :)

The Palo Alto Fire Department hasn’t hired females in years. I remember when they led the bay area in female hiring.

The headline of this article is sexist.
