While most dishes at Taste, a new Sichuan restaurant in downtown Palo Alto, originated in Sichuan, the menu does stray to regional cuisines of Beijing, Shandon, Chongqing and Hunan.

We are really surprised by how few authentic regional Chinese restaurants there are in this part of the peninsula. Looking forward to trying this one.

Given that there are 183 options on the menu, you have to wonder how much thought was put into each one.
