Franco-Penaloza, also known as Gustavo Torres, has ties to Menlo Park and East Palo Alto and is considered armed and dangerous, police said in a statement. Police said they have obtained an $11 million warrant for his arrest on suspicion of attempted homicide.

  1. Identifying the hospital where the victim of this attempted murder is being treated probably not the best journalistic move in my opinion. He’s already been the target of a shooting. Is there any value at this point in being that specific? Making reference to an “area hospital” sure, but why pinpoint the location. Protecting the victim’s privacy under these circumstances should have been considered.

  2. “…has ties to Menlo Park and East Palo Alto…”

It would be interesting to know his nationality. Is he a home-grown parasite, or another of the vaunted “dreamers”?
