  1. Wow! Accent Arts is leaving; Hair International is good place to spend too much on a bad color job; Dr Hansen is so expensive that she’s out-of-network for most insurance companies; AND you can do better than La Belle for hair and skin, and for a lot less money.

  2. For auto repair, after many years of noticing Heinichen’s Garage, I thought
I’d give them a try. They were honest, friendly, easygoing and did a great
job at a price I thought very good for the Palo Alto area.

One job I started myself and did not have the tools to finish – they
actually gave me a discount based on what I had already done. Way
to exceed expectations. They also have a website – http://www.heinichensgarage.com

I have gotten so that I don’t even expect this kind of professionalism
from most Palo Alto businesses any longer, so I was happy to be surprised.
I’m in Crescent Park so I could walk home and back to get my car too.

  3. I would agree with the comment regarding Heinichen’s. If you have a German car that has gone off warranty, this is the place to take it. They will not try to “pad” the bill, as will some other German car “specialists” in that area. They do good work, and guarantee everything they do!
