Stanford Charter school was closed because it was the worst performing school in Ravenswood District. A bunch of smart Stanford people were using the kids as education practice guinea pigs. They didn't really know how to deal well with students who didn't get it the first time.

Aspire EPA charter was started by parents and community members who wanted a good basic education for their kids, and it's worked well. There is a lot of collaboration going on between Ravenswood and Sequoia High School District over this, because there are two campuses -- one is K-5 and one is 6-12. It was weird that the students in grades 6,7,8 were under Ravenswood Charter and those in grades 9-12 were under Sequoia charter. This smooths all the back-end paperwork.

Dr. Love joy made excuses and advised me after I contacted Nellie Maldonado,s office they would investigate. Guess what the outcome was....I,m still guessing too. I never heard back from them. That was last year. The Maldonado,s
