Stanford sixth in first BCS rankings

Stanford found itself in sixth place of the first Bowl Championship Series standings released Sunday, its highest opening rank. Alabama and Florida State are ranked one-two, ahead of Oregon, Ohio State, Missouri and the Cardinal.

This weekend with homecoming activities on Saturday at the Stanford campus and winning the football game in the afternoon makes us all happy. There is a lot of positive energy in this town.

Congratulations Stanford football!
It is wonderful to be part of this great community and great school.
