Thanks for the review.
However, it seems to be incorrect on a point of history. The review states that Auguste's younger son Claude was "aged up to puberty" but only 1 and a half at the time.
According to
Web Link
there were two Claude's in the family, and Auguste's son Claude was born in 1901. Hence, he would be 14 in 1915. The other Claude was the nephew of the other, and younger, "Claude" in the family.
I mention this because the reviewer seems to think that having the younger brother "dilutes" the story.

I really loved the movie and it is now my new favorite.
