Three men who were arrested inside a Redwood City home last week have been linked to additional burglaries in Redwood City, Belmont and Palo Alto, police said Monday.

At about 10:50 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, officers responded to a call from a resident in the 400 block of Pine Street who reported seeing three men enter a neighboring home through a back window, according to Redwood City police.

Officers surrounded the residence and took the men into custody without incident. The alleged burglars were identified as Raphaelle Jones, 23, of Citrus Heights, Wyatt King, 34, of Sacramento, and Gabriel Carter, 35, of Oakland.

At about 1:50 p.m., Belmont residents in the 1300 block of Sunnyslope Avenue reported that their house had been burglarized some time after 9 a.m., according to police. Redwood City investigators found property stolen from the Belmont home when the three suspects were taken into custody, police said. The three men were booked into San Mateo County jail for the burglaries in both cities.

A subsequent investigation linked the men to a residential burglary in Palo Alto on Oct. 9, police said. Police said the arrests came as “a direct result of residents keeping a watchful eye out for each other in their neighborhood.”

  1. Katie, With the price of gas perhaps these people will stay home and commit their crimes in Citrus Heights, Sacramento, Oakland, and Sunnyvale.

  2. There has been a rash of burglaries in PA recently, and people are very upset about it. I would be interested in how many of those PA burglaries can be tied to these clowns.
