Menlo wins fourth straight NorCal tennis title

Original post made on May 21, 2012

Forgot to mention the classless Menlo "coach" (father of a substitute doubles player) who not only insulted our Bellarmine coach and got in his face but after the match also called the Bellarmine team "retarded." Yet another example of how Menlo will do whatever it takes to win and [portion removed by Palo Alto Online staff] condones poor sportsmanship in the moment (yet apologizes for it later).

Go Bells and congratulations to the Knights players who work so hard and treat their opponents with respect.

I am not associated with either Menlo or Bellarmine but this post from a Bell parent sounds like whining...a kind of sore loser my experience most teams are a reflection of their coach and by this poster's own words..." most of the Menlo parents are polite and full of class". If that is the case, Coach Shine must be doing a heck of a job...I have seen a Bell-Menlo tennis match and it is intense and passionate. I wonder whether our Bell parent just doesn't like the fact that in tennis Menlo is the dominate program both on and off the court and has been for sometime.
