Boo, boo, and triple boo, for asking personal questions and posting full names.
Why not ask people what they think of corporations’s rights to free speech, or the activist Supreme Court. In fact, why is this necessary at all.
I have never been approached by these reporters or tv reporters to be photographed or videoed and my comments edited and soundbited into a comment which may or may not be my view on a particular subject. However, I was once interviewed by a reporter after a meeting where I had made a point which the reporter obviously found worthy of following up on. When the newspaper article was printed, my point was reported, but in such a way as to make me sound really narrow minded. Context and time to think about an answer before being put in print is never considered by the editors, just what makes interesting reading.
Many years ago I was asked by these “surveyors” what I thought of the new women’s skirt lengths (they were getting shorter).
Since they print the names and locale’s of the people they probably don’t want to get too personal (beyond first kiss to first sexual encounter for instance) or too controversial (abortion for instance) and risk people getting harassed.
What a charming little video. Brought me back to my first kiss (college, a charming upperclassman).
I don’t see what the fuss is about the question. The people answering it had interesting recollections. I assume if someone didn’t want to answer it, they would’ve declined.
