Frankly, "if you're a mom with kids in tow", cutting across the Cubberly parking lot is not the safest route to get to the center even though it may be the shortest. If the kids are too tired to make it the extra 100 yards, then perhaps the parent should try a stroller, if the kids are older and just too lazy like the parent to take the extra steps that it would take to use the safer route (using the sidewalk), then maybe they should use the car.
I agree with Kathy Espinosa-Howard; this is hardly newsworthy and it is definately not worth using city staff time or dollars to discuss the parking issues at Charleston Center. Has the center's management ever considered hiring a private parking guard like they have patrolling other private parking lots?
