Stanford’s Tyrell Terry turned in a career performance in a win over Utah and then helped lead the Cardinal past then No. 21 Colorado, earning him the Pac-12 Conference Men’s Basketball Freshman of the Week award on Monday.

Terry averaged 19.5 points on 50% shooting from the field (11-22), including 53% behind the arc (8-15) to help Stanford sweep the Mountain schools and reach the 20-win plateau for the first time since the 2014-15 season.

The guard-forward matched the Conference-games only high with seven 3-pointers en route to a career-best 27 points in Stanford’s 70-62 win over Utah on Wednesday.

He added 12 points and three assists in Sunday’s win over the Buffaloes. The Cardinal has won four straight and recorded its second AP Top 25 victory in the past month.

Terry became the fourth player to earn multiple Freshman of the Week honors this season, joining Arizona’s Zeke Nnaji (four), Washington’s Isaiah Stewart (four) and USC’s Onyeka Okongwu (two).

Stanford is in a sixth-place tie with Arizona heading into the final weekend of conference play. As an example of parity in conference, there are six teams which can tie for second place. UCLA clinched at least a tie for the regular-season title with Oregon the only team with a chance to gain a co-title.

California and Stanford travel to play the Oregon schools beginning Thursday with the Cardinal at Oregon State (6 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks) and Cal at Oregon. The Bay Area teams each swept their home games against the Mountain teams last weekend.
