A preview of Palo Alto government meetings for the week of April 22.

CITY COUNCIL … The council plans to meet in a closed session to discuss existing litigation, Miriam Green v. City of Palo Alto. The council then plans to hear a presentation of the city manager’s proposed fiscal year 2020 budget; consider modifications to the city’s citywide transportation-impact fees; discuss a workplan for revenue-generating proposals, including a ballot measure in November 2020; and consider a work plan for identifying preferred solutions for grade separations. The closed session will begin at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 22, at City Hall, 250 Hamilton Ave. Regular meeting will follow at 6 p.m. or as soon as possible after the closed session. COUNCIL APPOINTED OFFICERS COMMITTEE … The committee was originally scheduled to meet to discuss organizational and resource options for the City Auditor’s Office at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, but the meeting has been canceled. Read the notice here.

BOARD OF EDUCATION … The school board will hear reports on Palo Alto Community Child Care (PACCC) and an expansion of transitional kindergarten; discuss a memorandum of understanding with the Palo Alto Management Association (PAMA) and a proposed one-year lease extension for 525 San Antonio Road; and vote on a schematic design for the multi-purpose building project at El Carmelo Elementary School and a contract to add seven portables at Hoover Elementary School, among other items. PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION … The commission plans to discuss a park improvement ordinance at Mitchell Park and plan for an upcoming study session with the City Council.
