City Council (Nov. 28)

Housing Element: The council voted 6-0, with Cormack recusing, to authorize staff to submit the city's draft Housing Element for the 2023-2031 period to the state Department of Housing and Community Development. It also voted 5-1 to pass a series of changes to the document, including a requirement that housing constructed on public parking lots be designated for individuals making up to 80% of area median income, as well as city employees and Palo Alto Unified School District employees.

200 Portage: The commission voted to advance the proposed development agreement between the city and The Sobrato Organization for the area that includes the former Fry's Electronics building to the Architectural Review Board.
