Monkeypox is the next serious epidemic though it has been primarily associated with the gay/bisexual community.

Like COVID, mass vaccinations may be necessary as monkeypox can be easily spread by surface contacts and aerosol transmission.

Monkeypox has been associated with gay/bisexual men. It's a very rare disease, and there is a different risk level. According to the chart I just read, 0.4% of cases are female. I'll leave it at that...

Why is there no mention of social distancing, staying at home, isolating from others, and personal hygiene? If this is really a state of emergency, shouldn't there be cries for a change in lifestyle as there was with Covid?

What constitutes a state emergency?

Is it similar to the COVID outbreak?

Unlike CA Governor Newsom, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has refused to declare such an emergency stating that it only raises false fears.

Lastly, 98% of the 11,000 monkeypox cases currently reported involve gay men and our pastor said that only homosexual men should be taking the necessary precautions to curtail the spread of this disease via vaccinations and abstinence.

Latest thing is WHO will change the name of this contagious illness to avoid some sort of stigma. Great, way to go, confusing millions.
