TUESDAY TREKKERS ... The Avenidas Tuesday Trekkers meet weekly every Tuesday for a roughly 2-mile walk on flat, mostly paved surfaces. Options can be arranged for those who want to walk farther, and restrooms are available at all locations. Hats and water bottles strongly recommended; no dogs. The group chooses a location and meets there every Tuesday for the month. Meetup time at 9:50 a.m.; walk at 10 a.m.. AGING AND VOICE ... Theresa Jingyun Yao, a Stanford-affiliated speech and language pathologist specializing in voice and swallowing disorders, will present an online workshop titled " How to Improve Your Aging Voice" on Wednesday, July 13, at 11 a.m. Yao will discuss potential changes in voice due to aging and what people can do to improve their voice quality and strength. SAFER DRIVING ... The AARP Smart Driver course, covering defensive driving techniques, safety tips and adjustments to accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time, will be offered on Saturday, July 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 450 Bryant St. Students who complete the course may be eligible for a discount on auto insurance.
