Eve Roxanne "Dolly" Sacks, 98, a longtime resident of Palo Alto who served as executive director of the Stanford Urban Coalition, died on June 8; Sherwood Chang, 81, a longtime resident of Palo Alto who worked at NASA's Ames Research Center, died on June 6; Richard M. Cabrera, 83, a longtime resident of Palo Alto who worked as code compliance officer for the city, died on May 28; Dona May Smith-Powers, 82, a longtime resident of Palo Alto who volunteered at local churches, died on May 20; Jack Lanier Hoover, 98, a longtime resident of Palo Alto who volunteered as an announcer at local swim and diving meets, died on May 9; Ted Fletcher, 58, a longtime resident of Palo Alto who owned Art Craft Carpet & Linoleum in Palo Alto, died on May 5; Roy Edward Rand, 86, a former resident of Palo Alto who researched physics at Stanford University, died on May 4.
