EARLY DETECTION ... The Avenidas Chinese Community Center will sponsor a Zoom seminar in English and Mandarin titled "10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's: Early Detection Matters" on Monday, June 13, from 1 to 2 p.m. Guest speaker Sophie Zhuang of the Alzheimer's Association will show video clips of people with Alzheimer's disease. Although there's no cure for the disease, Zhuang said early detection gives people a chance to begin drug therapy, enroll in clinical studies and plan for the future. Free. To register, go to avenidas.org, click on "classes" and search for "10 Warning Signs."
