So nice to see such a beautiful, functional open architecture workspace from Google. The company is an innovative gem, and we are all lucky they decided to build their headquarters here in Mountain View!

Now, if only YouTube in San Bruno stops censoring alleged "misinformation" at the direction of the new Federal Ministry of Truth (yes, Google, it's a biological fact that only women can get pregnant), it will live up to both its mission of "organizing the world's information and making it universally accessible and useful" and its motto of "don't be evil."

This is a perfect example of how, organically and over a period of time, we will become greener. No one forced Google to invest in such a forward-thinking, climate-friendly campus - they did it to set an example of how it can be done and to be a front runner in the business of building in an energy efficient way. Instead of taxing our way to a greener planet and setting deadlines and penalties, let's follow Google's example! Build solar panels and electric vehicle charging stations into new homes and buildings, encourage hybrid and electric vehicles, etc. Don't mandate and tax your way there - let it happen organically! Congratulations Google for setting the example - let's hope other companies follow your lead and, as they do, construction costs will come down and make it feasible to be as green as your new campus!

Does Mountain View have immediate plans to begin building new housing in sufficient numbers to keep up with Google’s expanding workforce? Or is the calculation to continue to approve dense workforce creating developments whose well paid employees will continue to displace an ever increasing number of existing residents, even though they occupy the jobs that communities actually need to function?
