The League of Women Voters of Palo Alto is hosting a forum for candidates running for the 16th Congressional District from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3. Incumbent Rep. Anna Eshoo is facing seven challengers: Rishi Kumar, Ajwang Rading, Greg Tanaka, Richard Fox, Peter Ohtaki, Benjamin Solomon and John Karl Fredrich.
The League of Women Voters of Los Altos/Mountain View will hold a forum for Santa Clara County assessor candidates from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 5. In that race, incumbent Larry Stone is facing a challenge from Andrew Crockett.
Vote by mail ballots for the election will be mailed out starting the week of May 9, according to the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters. Residents have until May 23 to register to vote.
