A list of local residents who died recently:

Rachel Michelson Levy, an avid knitter who lived in Palo Alto and, at one time, worked as a computer administrator for the School of Engineering at Stanford University, died on March 3. She was 90; Lyle Connell, a Palo Alto resident who earned his MBA at Stanford University after serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II, died on Feb. 23. He was 100; Frank Fang, a resident of Mountain View who graduated from Palo Alto High School and worked as an engineer at some of the area's prominent tech companies, died unexpectedly on Dec. 24, 2021. He was 53; Derek "Derk" Kenneth Hunter, a Woodside resident and early Silicon Valley real estate pioneer who founded Hunter Properties, died on Feb. 19. He was 90; Jean MacKaye Colby, a resident of Channing House in Palo Alto and avid public education supporter who was a founding member of EdSource and served on the San Mateo County Board of Education, died on Feb. 21. She was 97.
