She was very active in the community. She was involved in the local PTA, Jewish Community Federation and Temple Beth Am in Los Altos.
In 1989, she and her husband retired in Rancho Mirage. She returned to the Peninsula in 2013 after the death of her husband and lived at the Peninsula Regent in San Mateo, where she established new friends and reconnected with old ones.
She enjoyed golfing and playing bridge and tennis.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jay; and sisters, Charolotte Rosenthal and Ruth Weinstein. She is survived by children: Nancy (Parker), Beth (Weiss) and Steven Hamerslag; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
There will be no memorial service per her request. Donations can be made in her honor, to the charity of your choice.
