What improvements would you like to see to parks and trails in the Palo Alto area?

Asked at Baylands Nature Preserve. Question and interviews by Christina Dong.

Erenestina Maldonado

S. 8th Street, San Jose

Full-time mom

"Somewhere to go to in case of a bathroom 'emergency' (near walking trails) ... like maybe some port-a-potties. And keep the bathrooms clean. ... Sometimes there's no toilet paper."

Michael Bennett

Gilbert Avenue, Santa Clara

"We (windsurfers) would like the (Baylands) dock fixed. The posts are corroding, and eventually the dock will drift out. ... It's fairly urgent."

Kelly Moore

Colorado Avenue, Palo Alto

"They could dredge the (Baylands) channel."

Jerry Escobedo

Fireside Drive, San Jose

"A new rubber mat on the dock. ... Someone took the old one."

Varsha Saxena

Pomona Avenue, Palo Alto

"Fix the boardwalk (at Baylands). ... It's been there for so many years, but now it's closed (because) they said it's not safe anymore."
