Earlier this week, Dahlkemper was selected among 24 players for the U.S. Under-23 Women's National Team, which will take part in a training camp from Dec. 14-21 in Sunrise, Fla.
On Thursday, Dahlkemper was among the three finalists selected for the Missouri Athletic Club's (MAC) Hermann Trophy. The other women's finalists are Virginia junior midfielder Morgan Brian and 2012 MAC Hermann winner Crystal Dunn, a North Carolina senior midfielder.
The MAC Hermann Trophy is the highest individual intercollegiate award presented annually during a banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis. This year the banquet will take place Friday, Jan. 10, 2014.
NCAA Division I coaches that are NSCAA College Services members voted for their top choices from the list of 15 men and 15 women named semifinalists last Tuesday. Soccer fans were also encouraged to vote for their favorite player on the MAC's website hosted by LockerDome. The six semifinalists were the top vote-getters from the combined NSCAA coaches and weighted fan votes.
Dahlkemper was a First-team All-Pac-12 honoree for the third consecutive season in addition to being named to the Capital One Academic All-District second team. She earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors for the second-straight year.
On the field, Dahlkemper was the leader of a UCLA defense that led the nation in goals against average (0.26) and that posted 17 shutouts. She was the Defensive MVP of the Notre Dame adidas Invitational, named to Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week on Nov. 5 and was selected by College Sports Madness as a first-team All-American and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year.
She started 22 of 23 games and played 1,987 minutes, most among field players for the Bruins. She scored a goal vs. San Diego State on Sept. 13, recorded two assists, including an assist on the game-winner at Duke and had a huge defensive stop in the first overtime at Stanford to help UCLA defeat the Cardinal 2-1 in double overtime.
