HOOP WIN . . . Stanford senior Nnemkadi Ogwumike scored 18 of her 20 points, mostly on offensive rebounds, in the first half and also grabbed nine rebounds as the fifth-ranked Stanford women's basketball team beat visiting UC Davis, 93-44, Wednesday night. Chiney Ogwumike added 18 points and nine boards and Joslyn Tinkle recorded a career-high 19 points, on 8-for-9 shooting, and grabbed nine rebounds as the Cardinal (5-1) got their 66th straight home win at Maples Pavilion. The game was a rematch of last season's NCAA tournament first-round game won, 86-59, by Stanford. Freshman Bonnie Samuelson, a 6-foot-3 forward, came off the bench to score 15 points for Stanford, all on 3-pointers. The Cardinal plays again Sunday at Fresno State but will not be at home again until Dec. 17, when it hosts Princeton in a 1 p.m. nonconference contest, after a two-week break for final exams.
