If this system is designed for the Palo Alto community, then I believe that it should also be applied to the Stanford Faculty/Staff residential area.

Efficiency gains, through software technology, is always a good thing.

However, efficiengy gains, by themselves, will not obviate the need to produce more electrical power generation. There is only way to to do that, without procucing more greenhouse gases, and that is nuclear.

Until we, finally, accept this fact, we are only spinning our wheels, and our national security will only get more seriously threatened.

When will we wake up?
