What's an artist residency? How do you apply — and where do you find out about such opportunities? Palo Alto-based artist Robin Mullery, who is an artist in residence at the Cubberley Center, tackles these questions in an interactive workshop for high school students offered online Saturday, March 27, 2-3 p.m.
The event kicks off a series of virtual workshops hosted by Advocacy Through Art, a nonprofit founded by Palo Alto high school students " who are passionate about using art to facilitate community conversations," according to their website.
The workshop, which will include a Q&A session, also covers funding for artist residencies and how to write an artist statement.
Mullery is a visual artist and therapist who creates installations, and two- and three-dimensional pieces in a variety of media. She's a Cubberley artist in residence through 2024.
