Police looking for man who stabbed East Palo Alto resident

Injured man expected to recover from wound

East Palo Alto police are looking for a man who stabbed a 26-year-old in an East Palo Alto neighborhood near U.S. Highway 101 earlier this month. Investigators on Friday, May 24, released a sketch of the man in the hopes that he'll be located.

On May 15, police officers received a report about an attempted homicide in the 400 block of East O'Keefe Street, just blocks away from the Four Seasons Silicon Valley Hotel, around 3 a.m. They discovered the East Palo Alto resident suffering from a stab wound.

Paramedics were immediately called to the scene and the 26-year-old man was transported to a hospital where he was treated for his injury. Police said the man is expected to recover.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot, 5-inch Hispanic man between 28 and 30 years old and weighing between 110 and 120 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who witnessed the stabbing or has information is urged to contact the East Palo Alto Police Department by any of the following means:

• Send an anonymous email to epa@tipnow.org.
